KOKO CHE JOTA
Koko Che Jota is Carolina Häfner 's artistic project since 2014. The Spanish-German artist based in Seville was born in Granada , the land of the Alhambra , and moved to Berlin, the capital of Germany, when she was just 2 years old.
The daughter of architects, she grew up surrounded by construction plans , building materials, and hearing about aesthetic coherence in architecture and interior design, something that clearly defines her artistic work.
Having studied architecture at the renowned UDK University in Berlin , she discovered that she could be prolific in the use of different artistic media and techniques such as textile embroidery , digital painting or artisanal ceramics .
In the case of painting, he developed a mixed artistic technique of his own accord, which he applies when capturing his work on his organic canvases and reproductions on sheets .
“ Leily Taz Evans ,” “ Under the Sky ,” “ The Worms of Time, ” and “ The Object Lab ” are some of her latest works. In her latest series, “The Object Lab,” the artist creates a dialogue between the universe she imagines and the one we inhabit, materializing objects captured in designs and bringing them from canvas to real life.
Despite still being in the first decade of his artistic career as a multidisciplinary artist , he has earned an extensive CV at many of the most important design events and art fairs , such as the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Madrid , the Hybrid Art Fair , the Graphic Days in Berlin or Cultura3club. He has also worked with award-winning design studios such as Yonoh Studio, collaborating on the award-winning publication of the Gold at the ACDV 2022.
In the field of interior design , he has completed several freelance projects, although he has also worked with well-known firms such as Estudio Pinasetti and Lugadero . Even hotels such as La Casa del Sol (Barcelona) have used his designs for their interior designs.
